Basketball prices can move quickly, but I try to read the box score context before reacting. A short number is not very useful to me until I know who played heavy minutes, who missed the last game, and whether the schedule is squeezing the team.
I usually start with the official NBA scores page and then compare the game flow on ESPN NBA scores. For international games, I keep Flashscore basketball and Sofascore basketball nearby.
What I check first
- Back-to-back games and travel spots.
- Minutes played by the main ball handlers.
- Foul trouble that made a final score look strange.
- Injury notes that explain a late line move.
After that I look at price history on OddsPortal basketball. The aim is simple: understand the reason for the move before giving it weight.
